BOLAS FELIZES project applications development

The continuation of the work enabled the transition from initial formulations and samples to the development of concrete applications based on the material solutions established.

In the case of ReSkin, different material variants were produced, exploring combinations of texture, colour and thickness, and tested in applications across fashion, leather goods, footwear, sports goods and utilities. These developments allowed the assessment of the material’s behaviour in processes such as bending, stitching, bonding and finishing.

In parallel, ReGrind was incorporated into different moulded and technical solutions, leading to a wide range of proof-of-concept developments, including components for footwear, elements of urban furniture and paving solutions. These trials made it possible to evaluate its compatibility with different matrices and production processes, as well as its contribution to the performance of the developed solutions.

The results obtained at this stage highlight the application potential of both ReGrind and ReSkin across different contexts, demonstrating their versatility and paving the way for their use in products with distinct technical and functional requirements.

This stage consolidates the transition towards an application-oriented development approach, where progressive validation in real-world contexts becomes central to the evolution of the solutions.
