PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
With some regularity all the other mentioned services end up in the need for PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND/OR IMPROVEMENT.
Usually in a project we have as phases:
-
Ideation - Brainstorming with the client about the product concept.
-
Product definition - Scoping and refinement of the product concept.
-
3D design, when necessary
-
Prototyping - Building a proof of concept and/or laboratory prototype.
-
Execution of moulds, when necessary
-
Initial design - Production of the minimum viable product (MVP).
-
Validation and testing - Validating and testing the MVP to confirm the development strategy.
-
Industrialization of the product I - Production of the industrial prototype(s).
-
Industrialization of product II - Production of the zero series after everything is fine-tuned.
-
Placing on the market
-
Series production
🔴 There is a significant set of tools to deal with this issue, which will also depend on the type of business and the defined strategy. The most commonly used, just to name a few, are SWOT Analysis, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Benchmarking, Brainstorming, Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) Cycle, Design Thinking, Ishikawa Diagram, Minimum Viable Product (MVP) or Rapid Prototyping
