Carbon Footprint in a cup of coffee

Updated: Jul 30, 2022

COFFEE CAN SERVE TO KEEP US AWAKE!

WELL, THIS IS WHAT THIS POST FOCUSES ON - STAYING AWAKE !!

☕ If we are serious about reducing our carbon footprint, we must go beyond the debate about oil, gas and electricity used in factories. That's the cream of coffee part of the cup.

☕ The truth is that in the area below, like an iceberg, there are substantially more aspects that we can act on:

📍Purchased goods and services

📍Supply chains

📍End-of-life products

📍Product design

📍Durability of products sold

📍Investments

📍Transportation and downstream distribution

📍Upstream transportation and distribution

📍Use of products sold

⚠️And is this important ?

☕Well, surely you'd be surprised how many companies choose to report and do something about "cream" emissions. And they are seen as hyper green with that behaviour.

☕All the other emissions that we consider within the 'café' are the focus of the circular economy and that we advocate should also be included in the actions towards decarbonisation.
